All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Gilani has called upon the Indian government to withdraw 1995 Resolution, which describes the Kashmir valley as its integral part.
In an interview with Radio Tehran, Syed Ali Gilani said if the Indian government really wanted to hold unconditional talks then it should withdraw the resolution which the Indian parliament approved in 1995.
The APHC chief stated this while reacting on Indian Home Minister Shivraj Pati's latest statement in which he had said that his government was ready to hold unconditional talks with Kashmiri leaders over Kashmir.
He also said the APHC is not against holding negotiations, but it wants result-oriented dialogue.
Gilani said Indian leaders will have to take such measures for making the talks meaningful and result-oriented, which should reveal its sincerity in resolving the Kashmir issue.
He said former Indian premier Atal Behari Vajpayee had announced to hold talks with Kashmiri leaders, but result of talks was before everybody.
He said no result-oriented talks could be held unless the Indian government takes encouraging measures for proving its sincerity.
