The Ministry of Industries and Production is to formulate a national industrial policy for 2005-2015, especially for the textile sector.
The job of policy formulation has been entrusted to Experts Advisory Cell (EAC).
Textile sector is the mainstay of Pakistan's economy and has to play major role in the forthcoming quota-free environment.
The EAC, in a circular, has said that to facilitate the textile sector cope with the competitive global trade environment and avail the opportunities, a meeting will be held on August 23 at 10.30 a. m. at the EAC. It has invited chairmen of the all textile associations to attend the meeting.
