The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has decided to give reward of Rs 0.5 million to the family of CBR Tax Policy Secretary Abdul Hamid, who recently died of heart attack.
CBR Chairman Abdullah Yusuf has recommended the award in recognition of late Hamid's efforts in drafting income tax law and circulars from time to time.
A condolence meeting was held here on Friday in CBR for late Abdul Hameed, Secretary (Tax Policy), CBR, Islamabad. Abdul Hamid died of heart failure on Tuesday. The meeting offered Fateha and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Speaking on the occasion the CBR chairman paid rich tributes to the services rendered by late Abdul Hameed during his career, particularly in budget exercises.
He said that late Abdul Hameed was a devoted/hardworking and honest officer whose services would long be remembered.
