Sindh Mines and Mineral Development Department on Friday notified that the competent authority had constituted a monitoring team to ensure implementation of the provisions of the Sindh (prohibition of taking minerals, including Reti, sand and Bajri from any land) Ordinance 2003.
The following is composition and terms of reference:
The Director (administration and finance), Mines and Mineral Development, Farooq Azam Memon, will be in charge of the team. Deputy Director Gulsher Mangi, and Assistant Director Nizamuddin Leghari will act as official members.
Naib Nazim, Union Council (UC)-1, Agra Taj Colony, Mohammed Hanif Khan, and Muhammed Afzal of Jamshed Town are private members. The team will have six field staff as per requirement of the team.
As per terms of reference, the team will ensure implementation of the provisions of the Ordinance. It will also submit progress report to the offices of the minister, secretary and director general (M&D) on daily basis.
