Central vice-chairman of PPPP, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ahmed Hussain Dehar, Khalid Hanif Lodhi, Khurshid Ahmed Khan, Khawaja Rizwan Alam and Tariq Raza Khan have vehemently condemned the assassination of PPP a leader, Munawar Hassan and said that the present government has started target killing to eliminate PPP activists.
"A right hand of Benazir was killed in Karachi; three office-bearers were gunned down in Fateh Jang (Attock), and now Mumtaz Hussain was shot dead in Chiniot," they said.
They demanded immediate arrest of the killers because he was shot dead when he was returning to home after meeting his party's provincial chief Qasim Zia at the residence of Qazi Ali Hassan Raza, MPA. They said that Munawar Hassan was a very popular social and political worker of the area.
They warned the government not to play with fire and protect the opposition leaders and workers.
They further said that party workers should unite in their ranks to foil the nefarious designs of the rulers. They said that fake PPP could not establish its offices even in two or three major cities and it would end with the departure of military rulers.
