ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday issued a notification for revision of basic pay scales and allowances of civil servants of the Federal Government.
According to the notification, three ad-hoc relief allowances including ad-hoc relief allowance-2013 at the rate of 10 per cent of the basic pay on BPS-2011, ad-hoc relief allowance-2014 at the rate of 10 per cent of the basic pay on BPS-2011 and ad-hoc relief allowance-2015 at the rate of 7.5 per cent of the basic pay on BPS-2015, would be merged into the basic pays of the employees with effect from July 01, 2016.
An ad-hoc relief allowance-2016 at the rate of 10 percent of the running basic pay of BPS-2016 to the civil employees of the Federal Government would also be allowed with effect from July 01, 2016 till further orders.
Meanwhile, the government also notified grant of increase in pension to pensioners of the federal government.
"The president has been pleased to sanction an increase at the rate of 10 per cent of net pension with effect from July 01, 2016 to all civil pensioners of the federal government including civilians paid from defence estimates as well as retired armed forces personnel and civil armed forces personnel", the notification added.
However it said all civil pensioners of the federal government including civilians paid from defence estimates as well as retired armed forces personnel and civil armed forces personnel who are 85 years old or more, shall be allowed 25 per cent instead of 10 per cent increase in their net pension with effect from July 01, 2016.
The government also notified grant of M.Phil allowance at Rs 2500 per month with effect from July, 01, 2016.
Similarly, the government also notified to grant special conveyance allowance to disabled employees of Federal Government paid out of civil estimates and defence estimates at the rate of Rs 1000 per month in addition to normal conveyance allowance.
