Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmed of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has alleged the Foreign Ministry was adopting an ambiguous stance on Indian occupied Kashmir.
Expressing his concern over the gross human violations in the occupied valley, he stressed that the government should protest openly against Indian atrocities being perpetrated in the occupied Kashmir.
On a point of order, he said: "The European Commission in its recently issued report had said that in Indian occupied Kashmir during custody 18 people were being killed everyday."
Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmed said these figures excluded all those killings which happened during different raids and encounters. He regretted that India was committing genocide of Kashmiris rapidly, but the Pakistan government is not clear in its policies.
The MMA leader stressed that the government should adopt a clear-cut policy on Kashmir issue, and draw world's attention towards human rights violations in the occupied valley.
