The Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Balochistan, has called for giving up establishment of cantonments in Balochistan for the time being as these were annoying the people.
It also said the trend of labelling political opponents as anti-state should be given up and process of dialogue should be undertaken. All possible means should be adopted for taking Baloch people into confidence so that process of overall development in the province could be furthered in atmosphere of peace and order, it added.
This was stated by Balochistan PML-N President Sardar Yaqoob Nassar at a Press conference at his residence here on Wednesday.
He said the country is passing through most difficult and serious time of its history, and the borders have become insecure particularly with Afghanistan, and a large number of armed forces are now deployed on Afghan border.
He said Balochistan is faced with lawlessness and unjustified confrontation, as tribal areas of the Frontier provinces are hub of foreign soldiers activities.
He said entire Balochistan is facing law and order problems. Army has been involved in the name of establishing peace. There is talk of establishing cantonments in the province.
He said in his opinion, the present situation in Balochistan is because of setting up bases by foreign forces, working on foreign agenda and wrong policy on Afghanistan.
He said if situation in Balochistan and Frontier provinces is reviewed and entire situation of the country is kept in view, it would be revealed that our military rulers have once again created 1971-like situation.
Warning rulers against this situation, Sardar Yaqoob Nassar proposed them to conduct massive national consultation.
