Lahore High Court (LHC), while issuing contempt of court notice to SHO Bara Ghar Sheikhupura, has directed him to produce two minors of one Mehran Bibi before the court on August 26.
The court, taking serious note of delinquency of the respondent SHO, observed that such attitude of the police officials towards the court orders is not acceptable and the police authorities must take action against the delinquents. The court also observed that such police officials are creating hurdles in the provision of justice to aggrieved persons. He directed the respondent SHO to appear before the court and explain as to why he failed to abide by the court orders.
The petitioner had approached the court for the recovery of her two minors, who were under the custody of her former husband. He was not allowing her to keep the minors with her. She approached the court for the recovery of her children but the respondent police official failed to produce them before the court despite repeated court orders.
