Mongolian Ambassador to Pakistan, D. Amarsanaa called on Commerce Secretary Tasneem Noorani, here on Friday.
During the meeting two sides agreed to enhance economic and trade co-operation. Tasneem briefed the Mongolian Ambassador on Pakistan's trade regime. He told the Ambassador that Pakistan enjoys competitive position in textile industry in the region and Mongolia could explore the possibility of importing its textile products.
Noorani said the Pakistanis living in Mongolia could be a good source to promote trade between the two countries.
Amarsanaa said that his country was interested in joint ventures with Pakistan in the carpet industry. He said Mangolia has abundance of raw material used in carpet industry and wanted skill and technology from Pakistan.
The Mongolian Ambassador also expressed his county's interest in import of dry fruit and technology from Pakistan. He wanted that Pakistan should train his countrymen in various fields.
