Former foreign affairs secretary Akram Zaki on Sunday, rejecting Indian charges of backing infiltration across the Line of Control, urged New Delhi to refrain from such malicious exercise.
Zaki told this news agency that fencing the LoC by India was a part of nefarious drive to prevent indigenous Kashmiris form meeting each other and to create an impression that it was being done to stop militants from crossing the border.
He said if the fencing was to hamper the flow of the militants then why it (India) was still blaming Pakistan for helping terrorists cross the line.
He said these tactics would seriously damage the spirit of the dialogue specially the upcoming foreign ministers talks, which would be held in the first week of September.
He said if India went on with the so-called rhetoric of infiltration, then what would be the logic behind its persistence to launch a bus service between occupied Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
