Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal deputy secretary general Liaquat Baloch has said that after the election of Shaukat Aziz, General Pervaiz Musharraf is trying his best not to shed the uniform and in this regard, General Musharraf is making lame excuses but he has to shed the uniform as it is mandatory according to the Constitution.
He was talking to the newsmen after attending a meeting here at Lawa village on Sunday.
Liaquat Baloch criticised the government "as it failed to protect the life and property of the people." He said: "Sardars, jagirdars and generals are occupying the government offices, while the people of the country are facing great hardships."
He said: "The rulers of Pakistan have become a puppet in the hands of America and the things will not be improved until and unless the democracy is fully restored in the country."
Replying to a question Liaquat Baloch said the MMA will participate in the coming local bodies elections. He was confident that the people would vote for the MMA in these elections.
