Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz said that the government wanted to take all political parties along so that a collective effort could be made for the welfare and development of the people of Pakistan.
He was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led by Rao Sikander Iqbal, at the Prime Minister's House here on Monday.
The delegation felicitated the Prime Minister and expressed good wishes on behalf of their party.
The delegation assured him its full support in the implementation government policies for the socio-economic uplift of the people.
Prime Minister said that PPP was an important coalition partner and was playing a vital role in making the government policies successful.
Extending a hand of co-operation to the opposition parties he appealed them to come forward and play their positive role in making the development process meaningful.
Shaukat Aziz said the government would welcome objective criticism to improve its socio economic policies but the opposition should also play a positive and effective role in improving the quality of life of the people and providing the basic amenities of life to areas so far neglected.
