President Jamiat-Ulema-e-Pakistan Engineer Saleem Ullah has demanded of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to resign from Citibank and bring his US $35 million dollars from America to prove his sincerity and loyalty with the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he said that country's Prime Minister could not retain any kind of post in any firm or institution and added that he should have resigned before joining the federal cabinet.
Shaukat Aziz has announced breaking of begging bowl on the one hand while the country received loan amounting to US $260 million during last week on the other, he said.
He also asked him to tell the nation when Pakistan would be able to recover its loss of 100 million dollar, occurring due to Afghan war.
Commenting on Aziz's statement that 'merit and capability would be observed for induction in the cabinet, he asked if the Prime Minister would keep Faysal Saleh Hayat, Aftab Sherpao and other 'NAB victims ' away from his cabinet.
He further said that the number of unemployed persons increased from 6 million to 10 million during Shaukat Aziz's tenure as Finance Minster.
He urged him to take necessary measure for poverty alleviation and eradication of unemployment from the country. He also demanded for enforcement of Shairah in the country.
