London robusta coffee futures ended slightly higher on Wednesday though remained range-bound after a session of mainly structural trade, dealers said.
"There was a bit of short-covering in New York but in both London and New York there has been producer selling at the higher levels," said a trader.
Front-month September added $8 to close at $650 a tonne with 7,650 lots changing hands on the contract's first notice day. It kept within a $633-652 range.
Second-month November ended $6 stronger at $677 a tonne after trading between $659 and $681 and shifting 5,406 lots from a total of 14,349.

Global robusta production in 2004/05 should rise 3.7 percent from 2003/04 to 42.14 million bags, creating a shortfall for a second year, CoffeeNetwork analyst Andrea Thompson said in a report on Wednesday.
Still, thanks to relatively high stocks supply will remain ample, the analyst said.
