Police Training School, Chung Lahore has emerged as leading training institute in the country by securing International Standard Organisation (ISO) certificate for maintaining international management standards.
The International Standard Organisation (ISO) certificate was presented to the school principal SSP Major Mubashar Ullah (Retd) by the international organisation Det Norseke Veritas (DNV).
The decision for issuing ISO certificate was made after thorough inspection of the school and extensive audit checking by representatives of the organisation.
The DNV found the school management and training system of police recruits to be excellent and at par with international standards of professional policing skills.
According to police authorities, the credit for this achievement goes to the school principal who ensured the highest standard of training and imparted professional crime-fighting skills.
The latter disclosed that police officers from American Yorkshire police force, recently invited to visit the Chung school, donated the latest and most accurate finger-printing machine to the institute. They also trained the school instructors in the use and handling of the new machine, for training of recruits.
The school has introduced a number of modernised police training courses to enhance police effectiveness, while courses are provided on advanced investigation techniques, designed on American standards.
Topics include interpretation of body language, interrogation techniques, crime scene investigation, sketching and measurements, finger printing, forensic science, conflict intervention and negotiation, interrogation of domestic violence victims and related investigation aspects.
