As part of its on-going teacher training programme, the Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan is conducting workshops for teachers of The Educators schools.
An OUP Pakistan spokesperson said here on Friday the workshops on the mathematics series Countdown and the English series Oxford Modern English will be held tomorrow (September 4 and September 11) respectively at The Educators campuses located in Gulshan-i-Iqbal and North Nazimabad here.
It was stated that Countdown, written by P.N. Singh and AK. Roy, is a series of nine books for pre-primary and class I to 8 and written in accordance with the latest school syllabuses.
It is a carefully structured and graded course with emphasis on the clear presentation of key mathematics concepts.
The workshop on this series will be conducted by Nasreen Ara, who has been teaching mathematics for the past 20 years. She has conducted several workshops on the subject and is presently associated with The Educators.
Oxford Modern English, written by Nicholas Horsburg, is a complete course for primary and secondary schools. It provides a clearly structured progress from KG to class 8, while developing the student's reading, comprehension and writing skills at each level.
