Sindh Minister for Information Technology (IT) Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that foreign companies, coming up with investment in the IT sector, would be provided every possible incentives and facilities on priority basis.
He was speaking as the chief guest at 'Acer Corporate Vision Day' held here on Friday under the auspices of the Advance Business Systems.
Appreciating the intentions of the foreign firms associated with the IT sector to invest in Sindh, the Minister said that augurs well, and he was confident that this would prove beneficial for the investors.
He pointed out the government levied five-percent tax on assembled PCs to encourage the local assembly of the computers.
Syed Mustafa Kamal stated that the multi-national companies could also benefit from such a decision of the government.
He pointed out that the Pakistan government welcomed all the computer brands and they should bring in tax-free computer parts.
The Minister said the setting up of the plants in Pakistan by the foreign firms would not only promote their businesses but also help create jobs here.
At the seminar, the new products of the Acer and the technologies were introduced.
Acer's Andrio Lamb, Sanjay Kachro, Graham Braum and Qaiser Butt spoke of their organisation's commitment to expand business in Pakistan.
