The Australian wool market lost last week's gains as prices slipped by 0.4 percent on average values at sales this week , analysts said on Friday.
The AWEX Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) fell three cents to end the week at 775 cents a kg clean, based on decreases of five cents in the northern market (Sydney) and one cent in the southern market (Melbourne).
Their indicators finished the week at 788 cents a kg clean and 764 cents a kg clean, respectively.
"The EMI was relatively unchanged early in the week, picking up one cent on Tuesday and three cents on Wednesday, before falling seven cents in a softer market on Thursday," said Peter Morgan of the Australian Wool Industries Secretariat.
