I am a simple man working in a bank as a clerk. I had a wish to have my own small flat. For that I saved my hard earned money and booked a flat No A-207, in Shafi Excellency project on 28th August, 2003 in North Karachi. Down payment asked for was Rs 8,000.
However, I was lured to pay Rs 25,000 on the promise that the company will give me 10% discount on the total price of the flat and the project is to start within 3 months.
Now about one year has gone, project has not started but I am being asked to pay further Rs 25,000. I refused further payment as the project has yet to start despite the developers repeated promises. In the situation the developers have threatened to forfeit my Rs 25,000.
A simple man has been defrauded of his hard earned money of Rs 25,000. Would somebody please take note of it and save the innocent people of fraud being perpetrated on them.
