The Defence Day has come this year amid compelling reasons for the Nation and its Armed Forces to remain vigilant against both external and internal threats. The Pakistan Armed Forces reiterate their abiding commitment towards defence of the motherland.
There is rarely a precedent in the annals of military history to the 6th of September 1965, when our brave Armed Forces and the Nation displayed a unique spirit of unity, Faith and Discipline to quash the nefarious designs of the enemy who were intoxicated in the conceit of superiority in men and material.
The Defence Day of Pakistan provides us with the new energies and synergies of determination and spirit. The present scenario in the region demands from all of us be in an all-time state of preparedness and vigilance. I am confidant that Pakistan Army is not only fully capable of defending every inch of its sacred land but have also the capability to inflict deadly blow to the enemy.
The best way of paying tribute to the Shuhada of the 1965 War is that we continue to enhance our professional base and remain prepared for the defence of the motherland at all times.
