The District and Sessions Judge Islamabad taking action on an application by a brick kiln labourer released at least eight bonded labourers, including women and children here on Tuesday.
Those who were recovered by the court bailiff included Noor Bibi, Younus, Wajid, Sajid, Jehanzeb, Javed, Nazan Bibi and Shaheen.
The bonded labourers had been working in Safdar brick kiln Lahi Bher Islamabad for the last nine months.
The head of family Janas Khan son of Abdul Baqi filed the application with the sessions judge on Monday on behalf of Advocate Ajmal Khattak, Chairman, Legal Aid and Human Rights Society (LAHRS).
