A man lost his life while four others sustained burn injuries as boiler of SK&Y Cooking Oil Mill exploded at 2.45 am, near Fateh Chowk, here on Wednesday.
Identified as Mohammed Bux s/o Mohammed Bachal, 35, the deceased was tightening the nuts and bolts of boiler when it exploded.
Four other workers who received burn injuries were identified as Afsar Ali, Ghulam Nabi, Ashraf and Rashid.
They injured were immediately rushed to civil hospital, Hyderabad, where condition of Afsar Ali (42), and Ghulam Nabi (38), was said to be critical.
According to Dr Abdul Aziz Sheikh of burns ward, both Afsar and Ghulam Nabi sustained 100% injuries with remote chance of their survival.
Following the blast, the mill caught fire after electric live wires fell down The fire brigade staff brought it under control after two hours.
Additional Superintendent Police, Imran Yakoob, who reached the place of incident along with SHO SITE, said it was not the act of terrorism but an accident.
