All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) Secretary-General Mohammad Aslam Kazi has congratulated Arif Nizami and Dr Jabbar Khattak on their elections as the president and the secretary general, respectively of the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE).
He also extended heartiest felicitations on his own behalf and on behalf of the APNS office-bearers on the election of other CPNE standing committee office-bearers and members.
He hoped that with their stature as leading editors, the CPNE will be helpful in the promotion of the profession of editors and effectively contribute towards the struggle of press freedom waged by the newspaper industry as well as the civil society.
He reiterated APNS commitment to contributing towards the progress of newspaper industry and the freedom of press in the coming years, and hoped that during the tenure of newly-elected CPNE office-bearers, the relationship between APNS and CPNE will be further strengthened.-PR
