President General Pervez Musharraf held a detailed meeting with Pakistan Muslim League Balochistan MPAs and Senators here on Friday.
He, during the meeting, spoke of priority the government attaches to the province and said that Pakistan's prosperity was linked with the peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
"We understand the feeling of deprivation exists there that is why we have launched a number of mega-projects in Balochistan to remove this feeling", he said.
The President urged the legislators to be active, united and to maintain close liaison with the people at gross root level and said that the government would provide them development funds for their respective constituencies.
The parliamentarians thanked the President for paying personal attention to Balochistan as none of the presidents had ever paid such attention in the past.
They unanimously urged General Musharraf to retain his uniform for the stability and progress of the country.
Senators of coalition parties of the provincial government were also present on the occasion.
