Three killed in Indian occupied Kashmir

One person died and 16 were wounded in revolt-hit Indian occupied Kashmir when suspected freedom fighters hurled a grenade in a busy market on Saturday while two occupation soldiers died in other violence, police said. The blast occurred in Kupwara town which has a heavy occupation army presence.
A police spokesman said 16 people were injured and a civilian died when freedom fighters hurled a grenade at a security patrol and added the explosion created chaos in Kupwara, 100 kilometres, north of occupied Srinagar capital of Indian occupied Kashmir where a revolt has raged against New Delhi's rule since 1989.
The explosion on the busiest shopping day of the week emptied the market as people scattered in panic.
Elsewhere, two occupation soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in central Budgam district overnight when freedom fighters in a truck opened fire on the occupation troops after being asked to stop at a checkpoint, police said.
