Pakistan Muslim League President and former Prime Minister, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said that it is time for Pakistan and India to take political decisions in resolving all outstanding disputes.
Speaking with private television channel, he said," During meeting with Indian Foreign Minister in Islamabad, I said to him that it is time for both India and Pakistan to take political decisions in resolving all longstanding disputes."
Shujaat said, "I also asked him it was time for India and Pakistan not to waste time in technicalities."
On a query that when the disputes between India and Pakistan will be resolved, the PML president said, it is a question of intention, when intentions get corrected the issues will resolve automatically.
Shujaat Hussain said President Musharraf wanted that disputes with India should be resolved. "The same spirit is required to be reciprocated by the Indian government", he added.
He said, "I don't think running buses or aeroplanes and carrying out trade related activities between the two countries will be sufficient in resolving disputes," however, expressed hope that disputes will be resolved during PML tenure.
In reply to a question, PML president said Shaukat Aziz is an intelligent person and has ability to run the government.
Responding to another question, he said that it is under consideration that ministers should be asked to appear before public every month, to reply questions about their ministries.
Shujaat said Shaukat Aziz has also said that after three months he would evaluate the performance of the ministers.
When asked that opposition has said that there will be change in the month of December, he said it is a habit of opposition to circulate such rumours. Shujaat Hussain said National Assembly will complete its term and hoped that in the next general election PML will win the elections.
