The world is going through a vast and diversified era of Information Technology. The predominant feature of this technological growth lies in its uniform spread throughout the globe irrespective of the socio-economic status of the country.
One of the factors on which the living standards ranking of the people is based is the living standards of the masses, and an easy and affordable access to the communication networks adds to the living standards.
Only 30 percent of Pakistan's landscape is covered by the existing telecommunication network as compared to the 90 percent coverage in India. But an era of technological revolution is approaching due to effective government policies.
We can see a very marked and healthy trend in the field of telecommunication. The telecommunication system in Pakistan has shown significant growth in the past few years and the effects of the "de-regulation policy" of the government, inducted in year 2003, is surfacing in the form of new, advanced and affordable facilities which we experience in our daily lives.
It is no more a cumbersome task to get connected to the world, neither is it heavy on one's pocket anymore.
The recent grant of Wireless Local Loop (WLL) licences to the private sector by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will open a door to a variety of value-added products which everyone will be enjoying all over Pakistan.
Worldcall Telephony (Pvt) Ltd is one of the very few corporations which succeeded in getting the WLL licence and is now working day and night, with a highly competent, efficient and effective team, to implement this wireless technology in order to provide high quality and competitive services to its valued customers-in accordance with the traditions of the Worldcall group.
This technology has proved itself to be fast and cost efficient, offering better reliability.
Worldcall Telephony will be using CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) system of wireless communication for its network.
This is one of the most widely used technologies to implement WLL networks throughout the globe due to its greater capacity and increased privacy. Worldcall Telephony will be one of the pioneers to introduce CDMA in Pakistan, which is a very vastly used network in the USA due to its matchless attributes.
The services offered by Worldcall Telephony which the end-user will enjoy include, Voice Transfer, Short Message Service (SMS), Multi Media Message Services (MMS), Transfer of Data Packets over Voice Network, Push To Talk (PTT), Wireless Broadband and Payphones.
Collectively these services will be adding to the overall performance and productivity of all other sectors contributing to the economy of the country by utilising more high performance and affordable source of communication.
All of these services will be facilitating both domestic and corporate customers offering them extremely cost effective rates along with a variety of attractive packages, both pre-paid and post-paid.
In the beginning these latest telecommunication services will be provided to the residents of major metropolitan cities and finally spreading to the peripheral population, equipping them with the telephony services they are still being deprived of.
The aggressive and result oriented efforts, based on well designed business plans and proactive strategies, of the Worldcall Telephony team are expected to bear fruits by January 2005 in the form of commercial launch of its products.
It will be the emergence of this nascent technology in the country, facilitating Pakistani population with the most modern evolution of economic wireless technology.
Introducing Wireless Local Loop (WLL) in Pakistan can be termed as a great contribution to the telecommunication infrastructure of the country and Worldcall Telephony is here to contribute its share to the development and prosperity of the country by raising the living standards of its populace in an efficient and affordable manner.
