Federal Information Minister, Sheikh Rashid has said that Wana operation would continue till unconditional accord on registration of foreigners.
He was talking to journalists after attending a book launching ceremony of well-known scholar of Northern Areas, Dr Allama Nasiruddin Nasir, here on Monday.
The minister said that the miscreants in Wana were attacking Pakistani troops and involved in various terrorist activities, nationally and internationally.
"They will be paid back in the same coin," he said.
The Minister further said that government demanded of tribesmen to ensure the registration of foreigners living in different tribal areas, who are misusing the Pakistani soil for their vested interests.
Rashid said the operation in Wana was not specified to a certain group but the war was against those who did not follow the rules and regulations of country.
Earlier addressing the gathering, the Information Minister praised Dr Nasiruddin for his scholarly vision and contribution.
Praising the people of northern areas, he said that they have made great contribution to the development of the country and assured that government would provide basic facilities to the people of far-flung areas of north.
Federal Tourism Minister, Dr Syed Ghazi Ghulab Jamal said that Muslims in the world have been facing multifarious problems, and their unity and following the golden teaching of Islam were must to overcome the situation.
He said that the differences between the East and the West could be bridged only by the writers and scholars through their vision.
Highlighting Nasir's literature on Islam and Quran, the Minister that such kind of literature would play important role in providing basic information about Islam to both Muslims and non-Muslims.
Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, State Minster for Religious Affairs, suggested that Dr Nasiruddin should be given lifetime achievement award for his significant work on Islam and Quran.
Federal Ministers on the occasion wore the traditional 'Chugha' and 'Cap' of Northern Areas.
Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi, Dr Shehnaz Salim and Ghulam Qadir Baig also spoke on the occasion.
