Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 209,903 tonnes from September 1-8, comprising 201,253 tonnes of wheat and 8,650 tonnes of barley, port officials said on Tuesday.
That compared with exports of 370,000 tonnes in the whole of September last year, comprising 268,000 tonnes of wheat and 102,000 tonnes of barley.
Officials said two vessels were in the port on Tuesday, loading 80,000 tonnes of wheat for Egypt.
Four more vessels were expected over the next week to load 91,000 tonnes of wheat for unspecified destinations.
