The average price of Bangladeshi teas eased slightly because of less overseas demand at Tuesday's weekly auction, brokers said.
Buyers from Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Bangladesh participated in the auction, a statement of the National Brokers Limited (NBL) said late on Tuesday.
"Tea trade was less active owing to heavy rains," the NBL statement said. The next weekly auction will be held on September 21.
