ISE maintains downtrend

Equities continued to show negative signs at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) where genuine players and profit hunters offloaded their positions to avoid heavy losses amid decrease in index. ISE network index was minus by 97.76 points as the rate-based indicator moved from 11,197.56 to 11,099.80 points.
The overall turnover amounted to 19,01,200 shares as compared to previous turnover of 17,52,800 shares.
Total 111 companies participated in buying and selling activity. Majority of stocks (78) landed in negative territory, 31 closed in plus zone, while 2 companies remained pegged to their overnight levels.
The volume of OGDCL was 14,24,200 shares as compared to previous turnover of 12,82,200 shares. The volume of Fauji Fertiliser was 273,000 shares as compared to previous turnover of 199,500 shares. The volume of Hubco was 122,500 shares as compared to previous turnover of 137,000 shares.
