Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has announced initiation of Lahore Ring Road Project from November 1 this year and the first section of the project would be constructed from Niazi Chowk Bund Road.
He made this announcement while presiding over a high-level meeting to review the implementation of Lahore Ring Road Project here on Friday.
The Punjab Chief Secretary, Finance Secretary, C&W Secretary and heads of development agencies also attended the meeting.
The chief minister further said 14 interchanges would be erected on the ring road to provide better transport facilities to citizens.
He averred the project would result in ensuring smooth flow of traffic, infrastructure development, strengthening provincial economy and raising quality of life of the people, he added.
