Piaf-Founders Alliance has claimed to win the support of all the markets and industrial areas of Lahore in the elections of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) being held on September 21 & 22, 2004.
According to a press release issued here on Monday, sitting LCCI President, Mian Anjum Nisar hosted a dinner in honour of Chamber and Associate class voters of the chamber on Sunday night.
The function was presided over by Piaf-Founders Alliance Chairman, Mian Muhammad Ashraf while Sheikh Nisar Elahi was the chief guest. Former FPCCI president Iftikhar Ali Malik and representatives of different markets of the city also attended it.
Speaking on the occasion Alliance Chairman, Mian Muhammad Ashraf said that Mian Anjum Nisar and his team worked devotedly and resolved the problems faced by the traders. He said that the LCCI leadership developed liaison with Islamabad to make its budget proposals as a part of budget and trade policy.
Muhammad Ali Mian, in charge election campaign, said that the candidates of the Alliance were going door to door and conveying performance of the year to the voters while opponent group was trying to stop the election by going in to court or approaching trade ministry.
Shahzada Alam Monnoo, Kamil Ali Agha and Mian Anjum Nisar also spoke on the occasion.
