Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday decided to further expand co-operation in the health sector particularly in the export of high quality surgical equipment and medicines to Saudi Arabia.
The expansion in the health field was discussed during a meeting of Saudi Arabian Minister for Health Dr Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Manea with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, which was held at the Prime Minister's Secretariat here.
The Prime Minister while talking to the delegation said by enhancing the co-operation between the Health Ministries of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, both the countries could get benefit.
He said 'Pakistan could provide experienced doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and pharmacists who were highly qualified and hard working.
The people of Pakistan having great respect and love for Saudi Arabia work in the Kingdom with devotion and dedication, the Prime Minister added.
Dr Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Manea said Saudi government and particularly the Ministry of Health was quite satisfied with the performance of Pakistani doctors and paramedical staff working in Saudi Arabia and would like to recruit more from Pakistan.
He said Saudi Government always prefers to recruit health staff from Pakistan.
The Saudi Health Minister also extended greetings for President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on behalf of His Majesty King Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz.
