Progressive Group led by Sardar Muhammad Ali Jogezai has swept annual election of all the eight seats of the executive committee, Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) for the year 2004-05.
Sardar Muhammad Ali who has held the office of the President Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, twice bagged the highest 758 votes followed by 754 by Mumtaz Ahmed, 752 by Amjad Ali Siddiqui, 743 by Malik Abdul Rehman, 741 by Chaudhry Amjad, 729 by Muhammad Siddiq Kakar, 725 by Niaz Muhammad Khan and 718 votes by Haji Abdul Salam Saraf.
They all belong to Progressive Group, which has beaten Business Progressive Alliance, which failed to secure a single seat in the Executive Committee during the current poll.
Elections have been supervised by the Director, Export Promotion Bureau, Quetta, Ghulam Sarwar Brohi.
The polls were conducted by the Chamber Secretary Muhammad Ahmed and Rashid Mahmood, Deputy Secretary.
