Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Thursday said the government would brief the opposition on Wana situation and take them into confidence on operation in South Waziristan.
"The government will decide in a couple of days to invite the opposition as well parliamentary parties to brief them on Wana," he said talking to the newsmen in his National Assembly chamber.
The Prime Minister said NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah and Interior Minister, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao were already engaged with the local people on Wana situation.
Shaukat spelled out the education, employment and prices' stability as the top priority areas of the government and reiterated resolve to mitigate masses' problems through concrete economic measures.
The Prime Minister said the issue of water availability would also be seriously tackled, as it is another priority area of the government.
Shaukat pointed out that he would address the nation before Ramazan and present an outlay of his future plans for people's welfare and economic stability.
Answering a question on oil prices, the Prime Minister said that despite increase in prices of oil in international market to over $ 45 per barrel, the prices in Pakistan remained consistent.
"The government bore this burden by itself instead of shifting it to the poor people," he said.
To another question about President Musharraf's address to the United Nations General Assembly, he said, "it was comprehensive and well-thought out address." Replying to another question, Shaukat Aziz said all the ministers have sent their development targets and, "we are going to collectively discuss the future course to implement these targets."
