Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that President Musharraf and President George W.Bush made in-depth discussion on terrorism international situation, Iraq, Afghanistan and Indo-Pak relations during their meeting. It was a very good and most successful meeting, the minister told VoG.
He said the US President while appreciating Pakistan's role in war against terror openly said that Pakistan and the United States were friends and their friendship would further improve.
During the meeting it was also discussed that the dialogue process between Pakistan and India to resolve Kashmir issue should be stepped up Rashid said adding the talks process between the two sides could not move forward by shelving the Kashmir issue and speaking of infiltration.
He said Pakistan sincerely wants to move forward the process and find a solution to the Kashmir issue, which apart from Pakistan and India could also be acceptable for the Kashmiri people.
To a question he said that President Musharraf expressed his concern before President Bush that despite Pakistan's commitment in the anti-terrorism war and the way its soldiers are making sacrifices in this war, some people criticise the country.
Responding to which the US President said, we are fully satisfied with your hard efforts and I know that you are doing a great service for this world and your own nation," the Minister added.
