Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Kamran Lashari has directed the concerned directorate to undertake development of new Sector I-14 by October 15, Business Recorder reliably learnt on Wednesday.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting held here in the CDA Headquarters. The development of I-15 and I-16 was also discussed during the meeting.
These sectors are being developed for the employees of low-income groups.
The meeting also discussed to chalk out a comprehensive strategy for the allotment of plots in I-15 to those having a minimum annual income of Rs 150,000, source said.
According to the authority's annual estimates, I-14 Sector's total budget would be around Rs 4.798 billion. Out of which Rs 2.874 billion would be spent on development side while Rs 1.924 billion would be non-development expenditures.
The CDA had already reduced the number of plots proposed in the development plan of sectors I-14 and I-16.
