An accountability court on Thursday accepted appeal of Rashid Ahmed a co-accused in a reference against industrialist Seth Nisar and directed the authorities to release him if he is not required in any other case.
The applicant has prayed to the court to acquit him from the charges against him.
He contended that the charges against him are fake and against the facts. He prayed to the court to acquit him from the charges against him. The court, after hearing petitioner's counsel, at length acquitted him from the charges.
Moreover, another accountability court reserved its verdict in a reference against Arshad Mehmood till October 2 after his counsel and the special prosecutor concluded their arguments. The accused has been facing the charges of misappropriation of National Industrial Credit Finance Corporation (NICFC) funds.
