Federal government must pay more attention to internal situation, immediate economic rehabilitation and amelioration of financial hardships of people in the interest of national solidarity and integrity.
This was stated by PML-N central leader and MNA Muhammad Pervaiz Malik in a statement here on Thursday. According to him, that was more important than indulgence in unending war against terrorism that was even taking heavy toll on the coalition forces which have ultimately to resort to addressing the root causes of terrorism.
He said no economic moratorium was given to Pakistan in foreign debts, economic aid as a reward to its becoming front line state against terrorism, nor the just solution of Kashmir dispute was possible. Instead, the hardships of people have increased manifold, he added.
He further said the proposed relief package of the Prime Minister should address the basic problems so that the common man could take a sigh of relief.
The foreign policy and the government stance on various national and international issues could be controversial but there was no controversy on the improvement of living standard of the people, said Pervaiz Malik adding that any negligence to that vital need would take us to disintegration, he maintained.
