Muzaffargarh city police have seized a huge quantity of fireworks and arrested five persons on the charge of possessing explosive material, which may cause a huge destruction in the city.
"We have arrested two brothers Azhar Hussain and Muhammad Asif, sons of Haji Afzal Hussain, and their two servants Afzal and Sajjad and seized 12 bags of fireworks from their warehouse.
During interrogation, they named the main dealer. Police on their pointation raided the warehouse of Shaikh Muhammad Arshad alias Kukku and seized another 10 bags of crackers. They were booked under the Explosives Act.
PROTEST: Syed Ahmed Mujtaba Gillani, younger brother of Yousaf Raza Gillani, said that his brother did not bow down before the military dictators and preferred go to jail.
Addressing the participants of a protest rally against Yousaf Raza's conviction, he dispelled the impression that Yousaf Raza was bargaining with the military regime. He said his brother raised voice for restoration of true democracy, supremacy of law and parliament.
The PPPP, Multan on Thursday established a protest camp at Chowk Kutchery. A large number of activists, including women, attended this camp from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. to press the authorities to release Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Asif Ali Zardari and Malik Salahuddin Dogar.
