Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday dismissed a petition filed by Chairman Lahore Christian Association Pervez Masih, praying to the court to direct the respondent government to cancel all the liquor permits issued to the Christians for purchase of liquor.
The petitioner contended that in Christianity drinking of liquor is strictly prohibited.
The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, dismissed the petition with observation that it is a religious matter and needs to be considered at another platform.
