Trading pace shrank further in wholesale commodity markets during the week ended on September 24, 2004. The few commodities fluctuated were wheat, plastic mouldings, tea, raw rubbers rape seed and cottonseed and cotton cakes, guwar and bajra.
Teas from Kenya and Bangladesh fluctuated softly: Kenyan PF 1 A grade up Rs 2 to Rs 165, B grade up Rs 5 to Rs 150, plus C grade up Rs 3 to Rs 138, C grade up Re 1 to Rs 131, BP-1 A grade up Rs 5 to Rs 185, B grade up Rs 3 to Rs 180, plus C grade up Rs 2 to Rs 162, D-1 A grade up Rs 20 to Rs 189, B grade up Rs 2 to Rs 155, Dust A grade up Rs 2 to Rs 140, Bangladesh Garden Pack (original) up Rs 3 to Rs 103, Gulab down Re 1 to Rs 140, Khushbu quoted at Rs 93, China PF up Rs 4 to Rs 40, Tanzanian PF-1 (CTC) down Rs 3 to Rs 132, BP-1 up Re 1 to Rs 136, Rwandan PD(CTC) down Rs 5 to Rs 180.
PLASTIC MOULDINGS: HDPE film TR 144 down Re 1 to Rs 35.75 LLDPE W118 down 50 paisa to Rs 36.50, 7087 down 50 paisa to Rs 36.50, polypropylene tape grade India down 50 paisa to Rs 37.50, Kuwait down 50 paisa to Rs 37.50, Saudia down 50 paisa to Rs 37.50, ABS polylac 707 up Rs 50 to Rs 2750.
RAW RUBBER: The changes were noted in Ceylon's raw rubber RSSV down Re 1 to Rs 47, Pale Crape TPC 3 was quoted at Rs 63, and Semnan tax down Rs 3 to Rs 345, and Thai (GT) down Rs 3 to Rs 345.
Wheat quoted at Rs 1150, sugar gained Rs 5 to Rs 198, better up Rs 10 to Rs juwar shed Rs 25 to Rs 1975, better shed same amount to Rs 1950? Bajra up Rs 100 to Rs 1450, better up Rs 50 to Rs 1500.
Rapeseed cakes quoted at Rs 263, and Rs 265 cotton cakes last quoted at Rs 405 and Rs 410.
FRIDAY'S: Rapeseed cakes inferior was quoted at Rs 260 and Rs 262, cotton cakes was up Rs 3 to Rs 408 and Rs 412, wheat was quoted at Rs 1175 and Rs 1180, raw rubber Semnan tex down Rs 5 to Rs 340 and Thai (GT) down Rs 5 to Rs 340.
SATURDAY'S: On the seed side, rapeseed Nawabshah gained Rs 20 to Rs 405 and Rs 410. On the cereals side, Barley Sindh and Mardan quoted at Rs 1100 Rs 1150. Wheat Mexipat at Rs 1175. Guwar lost Rs 25 to Rs 1875 and Rs 1925 for all stations.
