To facilitate taxpayers in filing of income tax returns, all branches of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and designated branches of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) will remain open till 8 pm on Wednesday and 10 pm on Thursday.
The CBR has announced that all income tax offices will also remain open and receive returns till 10 pm on Wednesday and till 12 midnight on Thursday.
The CBR has already issued booklets, pamphlets and a CD (income tax assistant) aimed at assisting and helping the potential taxpayers to file their returns of income.
In case any further assistance is required taxpayers can contact 'tax facilitation centres' located at all income tax offices or CBR's helpline: 051-111-227-227 and 111-227-228.
The CBR has clarified that Thursday (September 30) is the last date for filing of returns.
