Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Muhammad Aziz Khan inquired about the health of Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at his residence here on Tuesday.
The chief minister on the occasion apprised General Aziz of various development steps being taken in the province. He also briefed General Aziz of steps government is taking for the promotion of sports particularly for hockey in the province.
General Aziz who is also a head of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) stated comprehensive measures were being taken to uplift hockey and other sports in the country.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Muhammad Aziz Khan and Acting President Mohammadmian Soomro also met Khalid Maqbool during the day and discussed with him matters of national importance.
