Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Punjab in its executive meeting, held here on Tuesday, has decided to hold protest camps at district level on October 5 throughout the country against the sentence awarded to their senior leader and former Speaker National Assembly, Yousuf Raza Gilani.
It was also decided in the meeting with Qasim Zia head of PPPP Punjab in chair to take out rallies on October 8, in the province against imprisonment of political leaders including Javed Hashmi and Asif Ali Zardari.
These rallies will reach Gujranwala on the day to participate in party's public meeting being held in connection with bye-election campaign of PPPP candidate for provincial assembly seat in the city.
The meeting also rejected the 17th amendment asked Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) to hold presidential election in the country. Navid Chaudhry and other party leaders were also present in the meeting.
