The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has reduced duty drawback rates of four industries, including perfumed/cologne talcum powder, tetra pack for milk/juices, etc, plastic mats and different types of propylene films from September 30. The CBR has issued four notifications to amend standard SRO 415 (I)/2004 on Thursday.
The duty drawback has been reduced on the export of plastic mats to 2.93 percent of the fob value or Rs 2.18 per kilogramme, whichever is less.
According to another notification, duty drawback on the export of perfumed or cologne talcum powder would be 2.51 percent of the fob value and duty drawback on the export of prickly heat perfumed talcum powder would be 2.94 percent of the fob value.
The duty drawback on the export of lamination grade cast propylene (CPP) film (Type A) will be 6.98 percent of the fob value; twist grade cast propylene (CPP) film, 6.73 percent of the fob value and duty drawback on the export of metallisable grade cast propylene (CPP) film will be 6.61 percent of the fob value.
As per another notification, the CBR has revised the duty drawback on the export of tetra pack for tomato paste; tetra pack for juices and tetra pack for milk in different packing. The duty drawback rates ranges between Rs 35.26 per 1,000 packs and Rs 332.66 per 1,000 packs depending upon the quantity and type of the product.
