Seven Major Generals of Pakistan Army have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and assigned new posts. According to ISPR here on Sunday, the promoted general officers are: Major General Syed Athar Ali, posted as Corps Commander, Karachi; Major General Muhammad Afzal Muzaffar, posted as Corps Commander, Multan; Major General Hamid Rabnawaz, posted as Corps Commander, Quetta; Major General Salahuddin Satti, posted as Corps Commander, Rawalpindi; Major General Imtiaz Hussin, posted as Director General, Weapon and Equipment; Major General Wasim Ahmed Ashraf, posted as Adjutant-General, Pakistan Army; and Major General Muhammad Sabir, posted as Corps Commander, Gujranwala.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Shahid Hamid has been posted as Commandant, National Defence College (NDC), while Lieutenant General Pervez Kiani has been posted Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
