All arrangements have been finalised for the forthcoming one-day international cricket match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka on October 6 here at National Stadium.
The renovation work at National Stadium and that of display boards has been completed while security and traffic plans are worked out for the occasion said Sindh Sports Minister Qamar Mansoor while addressing a press conference along with Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shaharyar Khan here on Monday.
He said new toilets have been constructed at the stadium, appropriate drinking water availability arrangements are made and water tanks are cleaned with antiseptics.
He said the mineral water bottles will he available at the original price while some of the franchises will set-up their stalls inside the stadium building.
The Minister said that a police helicopter would continuously relay the traffic position through FM radio. He said no traffic would be allowed from Karsaz and Hasan Square junctions from where shuttles will be operated to stadium for the people holding valid ticket.
Shaharyar Khan told newsmen that the arrangements made during the Pakistan-India match here have been the best and the example at sportsman spirit and discipline by the people of Karachi set a precedent for the whole of the country and it heightened the image of Pakistan the world over.
